1. General Information

Please be aware that when using http://kspcongress.org, you must agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this document, which we refer to as the "Master Terms". Additionally, there may be legal notices that apply specifically to the website you are using, known as the "Additional Terms". Together, the Master Terms and Additional Terms create a legally binding agreement between you and KSP 2025 that governs your use of the website. If there is any conflict between the Additional Terms and the Master Terms, the Additional Terms will take priority for the website to which they apply.

2. Your Agreement to the Terms

Once you access or use http://kspcongress.org, it clears you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms. By accessing or using http://kspcongress.org, you also confirm that you have the legal authority to accept the Terms yourself and any party you represent in connection with your use of the Website. If you disagree with the Terms, you are not authorized to use the Website.

3. Changes to the Terms

KSP 2025 reserves the right to modify, add, or remove the Terms at its discretion. In such a case, the updated Terms will be posted on the Website along with the modified date. Alternatively, we may send an e-mail to the address you registered with. Any changes to the Terms will take effect immediately. If you do not agree with any modifications, you can terminate this agreement by discontinuing the use of the Website. By using the Website with the modified Terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to those Terms.

4. Provision of the Website

The website KSP 2025 is made available to you under certain terms and conditions. You are only allowed to use the website if you agree to these Master Terms as well as any Additional Terms that may apply. It is important to note that the website must not be used for any illegal or prohibited purposes as per these terms and conditions or any other notices that are available on the website.

5. Location of the Website

The Korean Society of Pathologists controls and provides website services from its facilities located in Seoul, Korea. It's important to note that KSP 2025 cannot guarantee that the Website is suitable or accessible for use in other locations. If you choose to access or use the Website from other jurisdictions, you do so at your own risk, and it's your responsibility to comply with local laws.

6. User Conduct

Users agree not to use the Website Services to:

  • Post, use, or transmit Content that you do not have the right to post or use, for example, under intellectual property, confidentiality, privacy, or other applicable laws.
  • Post, use, or transmit unsolicited or unauthorized Content, including advertising or promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes,” or any other form of unsolicited or unwelcome solicitation or advertising.
  • Post, use or transmit Content that contains software viruses, or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment or otherwise interfere with or disrupt the Website Services or servers or networks connected to the Website, or that disobeys any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations of networks connected to the Website.
  • Post or transmit Content that is harmful, offensive, obscene, abusive, invasive of privacy, defamatory, hateful, or otherwise discriminatory, false, and misleading, incites an illegal act, or is otherwise in breach of your obligations to any person or contrary to any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Intimidate or harass another.
  • Use or attempt to use another’s account, service, or personal information.
  • Remove, circumvent, disable, damage, or otherwise interfere with any security-related features that enforce limitations on the use of the Website.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Website, through hacking password mining, or any other means or interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Website Services or any activities conducted through the Website Services.
  • Use any means to bypass or ignore robot.txt, or other measures we use to restrict access or use of the Website Services.
  • Impersonate another person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; or
  • Post or transmit any personally identifiable information about persons under 14 years of age, including without limitation in connection with the Website or the Services offered thereon.

7. Terms Relating to Content

a. Responsibility for Content.
You recognize that any material, data, or information you access through the Website, collectively referred to as "Content," is solely the responsibility of the person who created it. This includes any claims made by individuals, either explicitly or implicitly, regarding the authenticity and ownership of the Content they upload, list, link to, or provide. KSP 2025 doesn't guarantee any assurances about the accuracy, reliability, or quality of the Content that users of the Website create. You also understand that using the Website may expose you to Content that could be offensive, indecent, or objectionable. KSP 2025 won't be held liable for any Content, including but not limited to any infringing Content, errors, omissions, or any loss or damage that may arise from the use of any Content posted, transmitted, linked, or otherwise accessible or made available through the Website Services.

b. Content You Provide.
You acknowledge that any material, data, or information you access through the Website (collectively referred to as "Content") is the sole responsibility of the person from whom the content originated. This includes any claims made by persons, either explicitly or implicitly, regarding the authenticity and ownership of the Content they upload, list, link to, or supply. KSP 2025 does not provide any guarantees or assurances about the accuracy, reliability, or quality of you may only submit Content to the Website. This means that you can only submit Content you create in the public domain, or you have been expressly granted the right to submit consistent with the Terms. To avoid doubt, Content that infringes the rights of any third party must not be submitted. You represent warrant and agree that no Content of any kind submitted, posted, or otherwise shared by you on or through any of the Website Services, violates or infringes upon the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other personal or proprietary rights, or contains libelous, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful material. Therefore, you represent, warrant, and agree not to submit personally identifiable information. KSP 2025 may review your submissions and delete or remove without notice any Content in its sole discretion that KSP 2025 determines violates the Terms. If it is offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of others, KSP 2025 also may change your Content submission status. KSP 2025 does not endorse or support any Content posted by users. Users are only responsible for creating backup copies and replacing any Content you post on the Website to be authorized by KSP 2025 first. You also understand that using the Website may expose you to Content that may be offensive, indecent, or objectionable. Under no circumstances shall KSP 2025 be held liable for any Content, including but not limited to any infringing Content, errors, omissions, or any loss or damage that may arise from the use of any Content posted, transmitted, linked, or otherwise accessible or made available through the Website Services.

c. Use of Content on the Website.
You represent and warrant to KSP 2025 that you will use all Content on our Website under the applicable license. When you use the Website, it means you acknowledge and accept that you have responsibility for using all available Content. Users are accountable for assessing and accepting all the risks connected with using any Content on the Website, including your origin, ownership, accuracy, completeness, or dependability of such Content. In this regard, you acknowledge that you may not rely on any Content made available on the Website without your independent evaluation of that Content. 2019 KSBS&SABRAO does not guarantee that Content made available on the Website does not infringe the rights of any third party.

8. Registered Users

By registering for an account on the Website, you represent and warrant that you (1) are the age of majority in your jurisdiction or, (2) are over the age of 14 and have the express permission of a legal guardian to become a Registered User and use Services made available to Registered Users, and you further agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions of these Master Terms and any applicable Additional Terms. KSP 2025 reserves the right to modify or discontinue the accounts of Registered Users and related Services at any time. KSP 2025 disclaims all liability to Registered Users.

a. Security.
You agree to (a) provide accurate, current, and complete information about you, if and as may be prompted by the registration process on any of the Websites, (b) maintain the security of your password and identification, (c) maintain and promptly update your registration information and any other information you provide, and to keep it accurate and complete to, among other things, allow us to contact you, and (d) be fully responsible for all use of your account and for any actions that take place using your account. You are now allowed to set up an account on the Website on behalf of another individual or entity

b. Termination and Inactivation of User Accounts.
Your participation as a Registered User terminates automatically upon any breach of these Master Terms or applicable Additional Terms. In addition, KSP 2025 may, at any time: (a) modify, suspend, or terminate the operation of or access to your user account for any reason; (b) modify or change Website and Services and any applicable Terms and policies governing your user account and related Website Services for any reason; and (c) interrupt user accounts and related Website Services for any reason, all as KSP 2025 deems appropriate in its discretion. Your access to your account and use of the Website may be terminated by you or by KSP 2025 at any time and for any reason whatsoever without notice. In addition, KSP 2025 reserves the right to delete and purge any account and all Content associated following any prolonged period of inactivity, all as may be determined by KSP 2025 at its complete discretion.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by the applicable law, KSP 2025 offers the Website and Services as-is and makes no representations or warranties concerning the Website services. KSP 2025 cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free functions or content on the Website. KSP 2025 makes no warranty that its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components or that defects will be corrected. KSP 2025 does not warrant or make any representation regarding the use or the result of the use of the content in terms of accuracy, reliability, or otherwise.

10. Limitation of Liability

KSP2025 shall not be responsible or liable whatsoever for any content posted on the Website for your use of the Website Services.

11. Privacy Policy

KSP 2025 is committed to handling responsibly the information and data we collect through our Website and agrees to use your personal information by the Privacy Policy and the Terms. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into these Master Terms.

12. Copyright Complaints

KSP 2025 respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we prohibit users of our Website from submitting, uploading, posting, or otherwise transmitting any materials that violate another person’s intellectual property rights.

13. Termination of this Agreement

These Master Terms and any Additional Terms will continue to apply until terminated by either you or KSP 2025, as set out below. Your right to access and use the Website terminates automatically upon your breach of any of these Master Terms or Additional Terms that may apply to any of the Website Services. KSP 2025 may at any time: (a) modify, suspend or terminate the operation of or access to any of the Website Services or any portion of the Website Services for any reason; (b) modify or change the Website Services or any portion of the Website Services, and any Master Terms, Additional Terms and other policies governing the use of the Website Services, for any reason; (c) interrupt the operation of the Website Services, or any portion of the Website Services, for any reason, all as KSP 2025 deems appropriate in its sole discretion. Your access to and use of the Website Services may be terminated by you or by KSP 2025 at any time and for any reason. KSP 2025 will update users about any material modification, suspension, or termination by KSP 2025 that is not caused by your breach of the Terms.

14. Miscellaneous Terms

This Master Term constitutes the entire agreement between you and KSP 2025 relating to this subject matter and supersedes all prior, contemporary, and future communications between you and KSP 2025.

These Terms of Use are Effective as of 18.04.2025.

This “Privacy Policy” explains the collection, use, and disclosure of “personal information” by the 77th Annual Fall Meeting of the Korean Society of Pathologists and the 1st International Congress of KSP: KSP 2025. Under the Information Network Promotion Law revised on September 30, 2011, and legislated to prevent the misuse and abuse of personal information on the Internet, this Privacy Policy also explains our commitment to you concerning our use and disclosure of the personal information that we collect from its users. That commitment is contained in the “Data Usage Policy,” below. As used in this policy, “personal information” means information that would allow a party to identify you such as, for example, your name, address or location, or email address. We collect usership information to provide better services to its users.

1. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect information solely to provide services to our users and facilitate our communication with them. We do not collect or use personal information for any other purposes. The personal information provided to us by users makes it possible for us to deliver, based on it, more useful information selectively.

a. Emails and Newsletters.
KSP 2025 uses your personal information only to reply to your request via e-mail or send our promotional newsletter or events related to the conference if you subscribe to our newsletter. In such cases, your name and email address are sent to and stored by KSP 2025

b. Registered Users.
When you sign up and register with us, we may ask you to provide personal details to create your account and establish a password and profile. It is mandatory to provide your real name and the email address you use. We will use the personal information you provide us to maintain your account on our website, offer you features for Registered Users, and notify upcoming news and events related to the conference. We will also use your information in case you forget your login password.

2. Range of Personal Information

Only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide services must be collected and maintained, and only for as long as it is reasonably needed or required. This includes the person's name, country, phone number, and email address. We may collect personal information at several places on the Website when you subscribe to us with your personal information, such as by sending an email to us or signing up to receive a newsletter or our events listing; when you provide personal information to sign up and register for the user account on our Website in connection with your participation in the conference.

3. Maintenance and Disuse of Personal Information

Information you provide through our Website or that we gather as a result of using our Website should not be used for marketing or advertising purposes, nor should it be provided voluntarily (without your permission) to anyone else unless required. We keep maintaining and managing our users' personal information if they continue to receive our services and retain their account on our Website. However, when users claim to cancel their registration by request, all personal information collected by us will be permanently deleted from our database, ensuring that the opening or use of such information for any purpose is no longer possible.

4. Range of Cookie Use

When our users visit our Website and the web browser asks for cookies, our Website restricts its use of cookies only to information that has no potential to invade their privacy. (such as browser version, monitor information, operating system version, and information related to log-in)

5. Security Management for Personal information

We have implemented reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access to and unlawful interception or processing of personal information that we store and control. However, no website can eliminate security risks. We will post a notice to the Website if any security breach occurs. User IDs have security risks in addition to those described above. Among other things, User IDs are vulnerable to DNS attacks, and using an ID may increase the risk of phishing.

6. Data Usage Policy

Our Data Usage Policy covers how we maintain and use information about you that is collected by our Website and server logs, including when you log into a website using your conference ID. Non-Personal Browsing Information We Collect. When you use the Website, our servers may collect information automatically (through, for example, the use of your “IP address”) about your activities while visiting the Website and information about the browser you are using. In addition, whenever you use your conference ID to log into our Website, our server keeps a log of the websites you visit.

a. No Linking.
We never intentionally link your browsing data with your personal information. This information is used exclusively for internal purposes, such as to gain insights into how our websites are being used, to enhance our website and the features we offer, and for system administration purposes.

b. No Selling or Sharing.
Except in the unique situations identified in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell or otherwise voluntarily provide the non-personal browsing information we collect about you or your website usage to third parties.

c. No Retention.
The conference discards non-personal browsing information from our server logs once we have used the information for the limited purposes noted above under “No Linking.”

d. Notice
If we are required to provide a third party with your non-personal browsing information, we will use reasonable means to notify you promptly of that event, unless we are prohibited by law from doing so or are otherwise advised not to inform you on the advice of legal counsel.

7. Changes and Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will also revise the effective date below. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect the personal information we collect. Using the Website continuously is an agreement to this Privacy Policy and any updates.

8. Responsibility for Security Breach

Users are responsible for the security of the passwords for their accounts. We never ask users for their passwords through mail or any other method. Please be extremely cautious not to share your password or personal information with anyone under any circumstance. If you have concerns about our Privacy Policy or how we manage your personal information, please do not hesitate to contact our Secretariat via email at pathology@kspcongress.org.
